How little minds work

Karli: Mommy we don't have aqua dots , so we need to go buy them.

Me: Maybe you should ask santa to bring them for you at christmas time.

Karli: Lets go to the mall and see him.

Me: He's not at the mall, he only comes around Christmas time, when it's cold outside.

Karli: Where is he?

Me: The north pole.

Karli: Is he sleeping? What is he doing?........

This went on for about 10 minutes, finally I just changed the subject.

Cereal

Cameron has ventured on to rice cereal. It took him about a week before he actually started to like it. Now he gobbles it up and says ummm, while eating. I brought up the highchair from the basement and he seemed to like eating in it. Of course Karli is right there to help feed his EYEBALL!

Pella Picnic

Today we went to Lake Erie Metropark for Chris' company picnic. They had good food, another bouncy thing, a putt putt coarse, and a wave pool! Block Party

Yesterday was the block party! A good time was had by all. The weather cooperated and it turned out to be a great evening. We had Hamburgers, hot dogs, lots of sides,and drinks. There were about 50 people and what seemed like a million kids! Texas hold'em was a hit, as well as s'mores by the bonfire. I ventured home around 2:00 am with the kids and Chris came home around 5:30 or so!!!!! Saturday

This morning I am filling in for an old boss, so I will be leaving for work shortly. Chris will stay home with the kids and try to finish cutting the grass from yesterday.....it usually takes 2 days to cut. Tonight we have our block party in our subdivision. It should be fun, we will have lots of food, meet the neighbors we haven't met yet, and lots of kids to play together on the bouncy thing. It usually ends with a firepit in someones backyard, it will probably be a late night!

Hot and Humid

Yesterday was a pretty boring day....too hot to go outside...too hot to do much of anything inside (no air). We did go to Barbie's (as Karli would say, supposed to be Arby's) to get milkshakes. We sat on the porch and watched the storms roll in last night, lots of lightning to light up the sky. Today is supposed to be much more of the same. I think we'll go shopping in the A/C for a while!

Cameron is doing pretty well sitting up playing with all of Karli's old toys! He seems so much more active at this age than Karli was. I wonder if that means I'm in trouble....because she sure is active now!

This is my first blog, so bear with me while I figure this out. I hope to use this website to keep in touch with family and friends. My uncle and cousins blog all the time and I love to see what they have been up to, since we don't see each other very often. So I hope you all visit occasionally to see what is new in our neck of the woods.
