Busy Saturday

We celebrated Natalie's first communion today, she looked so grown up! We went over to the Buch's house for a nice reception. Tracy's sister, her family, and mom were in town for the celebration.

We had a good time at pump it up for the bachelor/bachelorette party. The party ended a little early.....we had to call an ambulance for Jay's friend Eric because he dislocated his knee cap. The ambulance came, took him to the hospital, and he was released a few hours later in MUCH LESS PAIN! We ALL felt really bad for him and we are so glad he wasn't seriously injured!

We went to Hamlin Pub after for a few drinks and Julie and Jay met up with us for a few as well, after everything was fine at the hospital.

Bubbles

Today we played with bubble toys outside. The kids had fun with the mower and hippo.

Tomorrow we are celebrating Natalie's First Communion and Jay and Julie's Bachelor/Bachelorette party. Chris and I are Natalie's Godparents. I can't believe she is 8 already! Where has the time gone!

Messy boy!

Who invented this stuff anyway? Chef Boyardee makes a sauce that is impossible to get clean. We went straight from the highchair to the tub! Yet that face is too cute to resist! I believe I have a picture of Karli very similar, if I find it I'll post it. Found it, she's not as messy! KArli is about 2 months older than Cameron in that picture.

Busy weekend

Tonight I scrapbook, tomorrow I work and then we're going to Antonio's for dinner(YUMMMM!) Sunday I have my cousin's wedding shower in Dearborn and then we're celebrating Chris' birthday with his family. I'm exhausted already!

This is just an old picture I found of Karli being Sassy! I told her we don't put our feet on the table, I walked out of the room and grandma snapped this picture. Pure defiance!

Our home the nature center

I've said it before, our home is a nature center, we have all kinds of animals around here. Deer, rabbits, voles, cats....and racoons. There has been evidence of paw prints in our dirt and here he/she is. This is what we saw on our walk this morning around 11:00 on our neighbors porch. If you click on the picture you can see he's not sleeping anymore!

Relaxing weekend

This was the first weekend in a long time that we really didn't have anything planned. And the last one for a while too! Saturday night we went to Julie and Rich's house and Sunday Grandma Kathy and Papa Gus came over for a visit. Today the kids and I went to Olive Garden for lunch and tomorrow it's back to work.

I wanted to get things done around the house. I'm organizing closets and going through the kids clothes and trying to figure out what fits and what doesn't. Our basement will have to be for another weekend, after the sump pump incident, things have to be reorganized!

GO WINGS!

Dance this week

This week at dance class Grandma Kathy came to watch. Here is a picture of Karli all dressed up in one of her dance uniforms. The recital is in June, it will be interesting if any of the kids in her class will participate in the recital at all, or just stare at the audience and cry. I'm betting on the second one!

Well check appt/nice weather

Monday we took Cameron in for his well check appointment. He is 22 pounds 4 ounces (just under 50% , 29 1/2 inches tall (50%) and his head is 19 1/8 inches (still 95%!) I guess he's my little bobble head! He got 4 pokes, poor baby, but Karli did a good job comforting him! HE didn't cry long, he's a tough guy, just ask him, he'll tell you.

We played alot outside this week with the beatuiful weather and went for many long walks! It was nice to get some fresh air!

Shower Day

Today we celebrated Jay and Julie's wedding shower. We had a nice time! They got a lot of nice things for the house! Karli did pretty good, only one quick tantrum, and that's because mean old mom took away her secret stash of Jelly beans. Of course after she almost ate a whole bag! It will be interesting to see how she does at the wedding!

Stupid Sump pump!

We woke up this morning to water in the basement. For some reason it only puddled up by the stairs. Yes, we have been in our house for 1 year and 4 months and the sump pump broke. Of course our builder is probably bankrupt and we have no papers on the sump pump, so we are writing it off as a loss. For those of you that really know me that isn't sitting with me well. Thank goodness we don't have a finished basement! We had to throw a few cardboard boxes away, but nothing was really damaged!

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

One year ago today Cameron was born at St. John Hospital in Detroit at 10:14 pm. He was 8 lbs 11 oz. and 21 3/8 in long.

With Cameron I was 1 week late after my due date as I was with Karli, so they decided to induce me. When I got to the hospital early that morning I was 3 cm dilated, 60% effaced, and -3 station. At 1:45 they started me on oxytocin. I did just fine until they broke my water at 6:02 pm (They were stalling until my Dr. came to the hospital, just cruel.) 7:15 pm I got my epidural, 9:00 pm I was 9 1/2 cm/100%/station 0. I pushed 2 times and was +2 station. This is when things got scary....... Cameron's heartbeat was about 60 BPM for about 4 minutes, they were preparing me for an emergency C-section......His heart beat came back up I pushed 3 times and he was out. The cord was wrapped around his neck, but he was just fine!

I guess you have to re-live that one day a year and look at your child to remind you how worth it, it was!

Weekly update

Not much new here! I worked Mon, Tues, and Wed this week and I was exhausted today. So I did laundry all day.......fun! Karli had dance class this evening after being off last week, she couldn't wait to go to class. Karli slept in her own bed ALL night, so we are closer to getting another puppy! We are trying to use that as a bargaining chip, we'll see if it works tonight too. I printed off a calender so that she can put a sticker on it when she sleeps in her bed all night. A month worth of stickers = a new puppy, hopefully.

Cameron has this new thing where I can not walk out of the room without him screaming bloody murder! Today was his first day with no bottles, only sippy cups! I'm not ready to get rid of the before bed bottle because I want him to sleep as much as he can, but we're working on it.

Awwwww...

They are already sharing cake! This weekend Karli and I will be attending Jay and Julie's wedding shower at The Vintage House in Utica. The wedding is May 17 and is approaching fast! I'll post some pictures after the shower.
