Clean up and organize

Well, the chaos is over now there is the issue....Where do we put everything????? I tried to give some toys away to charity, but with Karli around that is impossible. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Christmas Eve we spent at my dad's house, then we went to my Aunt Nancy's. I took a few pictures, unfortunately only the back of Cameron's head.

Christmas at Grandma Kathy's

Yesterday we went to Grandma Kathy's house to celebrate Christmas. Uncle Jay and Aunt Julie, Uncle Wayne, and Papa were all there to celebrate. Uncle Brian and Carolyn joined us after the Lion's game, and Aunt Jo, Uncle Al, Rachelle, and Josh joined us for a while as well. This is a picture of Cameron sleeping. Yes, he is in a sitting position bent over at the waist. For some reason once he sits up in his crib he won't lay back down. Outside of his crib he has no problem with that. Cameron is also "Rudolph" for Christmas with a lovely big red carpet burn on his nose.

This evening is my last and only shopping opportunity left and I still have presents to buy! Wish me luck in all the crowds.

Sunday we will be celebrating Christmas with my mom, Monday with my dad and his side of the family, and Tuesday with Carmen and Dennis and Chris' side of the family. Busy Busy....then off to work for me on Wednesday!

SLEDDING!

This was Cameron's first time sledding.......we made it down the hill about 4 times and then he had enough. Karli squished into the sled, but we're going to bring a bigger one home from grandma's house, then mommy and daddy can go too!

Yes, our snowblower is still broke and Chris said it would cost about $300.00 for new parts. Not what I wanted to hear 1 week before Christmas.....so I got to work! It took me about 3 hours, I only took 1 break. So we only have a 2 car driveway now, who cares.

It's snowing....

Cameron is now standing playing with his toys. He looks so big! Then there is Karli playing in my boots, which I can barely walk in. She did pretty well though!

We went out to dinner last night with Julie, Rich, and Emily. Then they came over after for some cards.

Today we were going to take Karli ice skating, but Chris has to try to fix the snow blower. Of course, it wouldn't start yesterday! It worked fine last year when we had a total of 1 inch of snow all year!

NAUGHTY LIST

Yesterday we went to Avery and Reagan's for a playdate. Karli started to get tired and VERY crabby and sassy. Anyway, by the time we left I ended up carrying her to the car kicking and screaming with no shoes on. It was like the exorcist, I've never seen this level of Sass from her before! On the way home mommy called santa and said he would put her on the naughty list until she could behave again. After a nap she was MUCH better!

Today is the Saturday that I work, then I'm going to get measured for the bridesmaids dress for Julie and Jay's wedding, and later we are getting together with Julie, Rich, and Emily. Should be a fun day. Thanks to Avery standing up in a few weddings we are trying to decide which dress Karli should wear to be Jay and Julie's flower girl.

Weekend

This weekend:

Sat night we had Chris' work Christmas party in Farmington Hills at Glen Oaks Golf Course. We had a wonderful meal, drinks, dancing, and karoke (which we did not participate in!).

Sunday I got a little Christmas shopping done. Thank goodness, I was starting to worry that I would never have time to shop.

To start our Monday........Karli woke up this morning crying. When I asked her what was wrong she told me that a lady she didn't know took her brother :( I assured her it was only a dream and that Cameron was sleeping safe in his crib (of course he's up every 2 hours, but at that moment he was sleeping). She really does love him! What a good big sister!

Cameron was not sure of santa at first, he then looked at me and started crying! Karli did very well she told him she liked the Backyardigans and was a good girl and would leave him cookies and the reindeer carrots. Tree Decorating

Last night we finally decorated the Christmas tree. Karli was a big helper putting the ornaments on the tree. She kept picking up an ornament saying "That's cute!"

LION KING

First off I have to say WOW! What an awesome show. It was amazing to see how they put all the animals in the production. The special effects were incredible. The characters voices sounded just like the movie. The costumes are so amazing you for get that they are people. The giraffes I thought were the best, it was hard to see where the person was. They were walking on stilts on all 4's. I really enjoyed the show. I definately recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it!


Happy 3rd birthday Brendan!

My work is treating us for our Christmas party and Tonight I will be going to dinner and then by Limo we will be going to see The Lion King at The Detroit Opera House. I hear it's a wonderful show....I'll let you know my reviews.

Well we have the tree up, but it's not decorated yet...maybe this weekend, maybe not.

Happy 8th Birthday Natalie!

Where does the time go? 8 years ago Natalie was born...I can't believe it! We celebrated Natalie's birthday yesterday at Chuck E. Cheese. Karli enjoyed playing games, but once again was not fond of Chuck E. Cheese or the big animals on stage.

A few bruises on the forehead and a lot of crying.....that is what we are in for. The way our tables are designed no kid has a chance. I remember with Karli we had the same problem. They grab on to the silver bar underneath the glass (which sticks out farther from the silver bar) and clunk. I think Cameron has 2 bruises from the table and one from a laundry basket. Poor baby!

Karli had dance class today without a nap! Big mistake. She cried over something stupid. And of course milked it with Ms. Teresa, who gave her lots of love and attention. Then mean mom came in and said stop crying or we'll have to leave. Amazing the water works shut right off. In the car on the way home she said, "I had a rough day!"

Too Big!

Cameron has now mastered crawling and pulls himself up on things! We had to lower the crib this week so he won't fly out! He now has 2 teeth. Karli is a whiz on the computer. She plays educational games online for hours. She can maneuver the mouse better than some older people. I better watch her or pretty soon she'll be on my space.

Not much new....

We had a relaxing weekend for the most part. Chris came home Thanksgiving day and black Friday, we did absolutely nothing! I was not about to tackle the stores with the crowds. Yes, that's right even I would rather pay full price than deal with all the crazy people out there! Sat. I went to a few stores with the kids and we passed by Santa in the mall. Karli wanted to give him a hug and kiss, but we had somewhere to be, so I told her we would have to come back and visit him. Saturday night we all went out to dinner. Sunday I had a few hours to shop ALL BY MYSELF! That was nice, because I had a few stores I needed to run in and out of. And all you moms (and dads) know after two stores of lugging the kids in and out of the cars, you're tired! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Karli woke up this morning and said : Mom...I recognize this, it's snow!

Yesterday I took the kids to get their Christmas pictures taken at JCPennys. I must have caught Cameron on his good hour. He was soooo happy, they took 8 pictures and every one turned out so cute! Decisions, decisions. As soon as we stopped taking pictures, I put Cameron in his stroller and he started getting sassy. Perfect timing!

Poor Baby

Well, Chris called last night and he didn't get a deer. However, Greg did! He shot a 3 point buck. Poor Baby...Chris or the deer?????

Yesterday was my first day as a hunter's widow! I spent the day at work and then spent the night over my mom's. Today the kids and I took my mom in for a colonoscopy, now we're off to dance class. I probably won't post much over the weekend because I work Fri, Sat, and Sunday we are celebrating Thanksgiving at my dad's house. At least I am keeping myself busy while Chris is gone!

Birthday Day!

Today we went to Evan's 3rd b-day party at the Macomb rec center. Cameron stayed in the pool the whole time (approx 1 hr 15 min). Sam and Karli had purple lips, but Cameron did not...maybe it's the extra insulation! Then Grandma Kathy spent the night so that Chris and I could go to Cara's 30th surprise b-day party (Evan's mom), at the Hamlin pub. We had a good time, it was nice to go out and celebrate with friends and have a few drinks! I think we made it home about 2:00. My pal Cameron then decided to get up at 2:45 and 6:15. And I have been wide awake ever since!!!! I don't know how I function sometimes.

This isn't the best picture, but this shows Cameron is ready to go. If he can just figure out how to go forward. Weekend plans: Tomorrow we are going to Evan's 3rd b-day party at the Macomb pool. Last time we went to the pool with Evan, Karli cried when we had to leave...I should say had a fit! So we shall see how tomorrow goes. Have a good weekend!

Rich, Julie, and Emily came over last night for a night of pizza, cards and lots of beer, I might ad. Karli likes to be the mother figure to the babies.

This week is the first week Cameron can get up on all 4's. Although he can still only move backwards, it's only a matter of time before he is crawling.

Well, Cameron FINALLY cut his first tooth! #O is popping through. I thought for sure by 4 months he would've had a tooth, by all the teething signs he was showing. I thought I noticed something on Halloween, and I must have, because it's definately there. Maybe that's why he woke up 4 times last night!

Halloween was a success! The rain held off and the weather was pleasant, although a little windy. It was kind of nice trick or treating while it was still light out. We went to Carmen's house and we started about 6:15, and stopped about 7:30. Karli was a unicorn, Cameron was winnie the pooh dressed up as a honey bee, Natalie a renaissance princess, and Sam was Venom. Last night we went to DJ and Rula's wedding. It was at Bella Hall on 14 and Ryan. I have never been to an Arabic wedding before, it was a new experience for me. They served Arabic food, played a lot of Arabic music, and lots of dancing (even a belly dancer). DJ seemed really happy, and of course Rula looked gorgeous, Congratulations! Uncle Wayne stood up in the wedding, so we are taking the kids to go visit with him today.

Birthday Dinner

Well, we went to Antonio's in the Park and saw Andrea and Andy (the old owners of Antonio's on Mack). They now work there, it was good to see Andrea and chat with her. Our favorite dishes from Antonio's were still on the menu and tasted wonderful!!!!!!! Karli and Cameron suprisingly were pretty well behaved. Since they serve 4 courses, I wasn't sure how long the kids would sit still!

This is a picture from last weekend when we were cleaning out the garage. Both cars now fit! Now the inside of the house is another story. I'm trying to go through everyone's clothes that don't fit, to see what we now need. Christmas is soon approaching! I don't even want to think about shopping, it makes me ill. Tomorrow we are going out to dinner to Antonio's in the Park for my birthday in Grosse Pointe. We were sad to hear they closed our favorite restaurant on Mack Ave, Antonio's. The owners merged and now they only have one. It won't be the same :(, the atmosphere was what made it so special....oh, and so did the pollo olive and scamorza!

Weekend

What lovely weekend weather eh? We are spending most of the time outside if we can help it! Not much new around here. We're cleaning the garage out for winter to make room for both of the cars. Other than that we are having a relaxing Sunday!

Kids update....... Karli had 3 plates of thai food last night, what a good eater. Cameron can now drink out of his sisters sippy cup, and has found out how to make the biggest splash in the bathtub! If he is laying down and brings both of his feet to his head and slams them down in the water mommy gets soaked!!!!!

A mind of her own

Today at Grandma Kathy's Karli was playing with something she wasn't supposed to and said "Never mind what I'm doing Grandma." Sweet isn't it?

Well, I'm a little behind on the posts, so here is a summary of the weekend. On Saturday we went to pump it up for DJ's bachelor/Bachelorette party. It was fun not having the kids there and just adults. I'm definately too old for that place, 5 min of bouncing and I was pooped. Plus I have burns on both elbows from the slides and bruises on my knees. If you've ever been there you know what I mean! Then we celebrated our friends 30th birthday at Full Kilt in Mt. Clemens. Yes I actually stayed awake passed midnight! Then Sunday I went to lunch with my girlfriends to Buca Di Beppo, Yummmmm! It was definately a mommy's weekend out! I needed that!

Weekend

Well the wings game was fun The Wings won 4-2, but no Darren :(

Chris is going to the game tonight with his brother. Maybe the kids will go to bed early and I can work on scrapbooking. Yeah Right, I'm sure I will be in bed right behind them!

DJ (Kim's brother) is getting married soon and tomorrow night is his Bachelor/Bachelorette party, also it is our friend Chris Holas' 30th b-day so hopefully we have time to do both, we shall see how exhausted I am.

Sunday is our girls lunch out. A few of us get together once every chance we can get, no kids, just to eat and have a few laughs.

No sleep

Well let's see....I went to bed last night about 9:30, good thing because Cameron has been up since 2:30, crying on and off. I had my alarm set for 5:15 because I have to get ready for a CE course today ( maybe I can catch a few zzzz's there :) ), but I said forget it and woke up for good about 4:30. This evening Chris and I are going to the Red Wings Game with my boss (we are playing Calgary, maybe we'll see Darren), I hope I can stay awake for that. GO WINGS!!!
