It's nice having a dog again

We are watching Shelby this week for our friends Julie and Rich. They are vacationing in Mexico and we are excited to have him here. Karli really enjoys playing fetch with him and he likes to follow her when she rides her bike. Cameron is at the perfect height for puppy kisses.

Weekend in review

Sunday we worked on the landscaping a bit. We went to Jay and Julie's house to see their updated house and to take some bushes that they were getting rid of. These are beautiful blooms from our hydrangea bushes. Chris spread mulch most of the day as I planted the bushes and hostas. Grandma Kathy and Papa Gus stopped by for a visit as well.

First day of Summer!

In honor of the fist day of summer, I changed the background of the blog. Near 80 today is much better. 70 as the high for the past few days has felt more like spring or fall.

New Bike

Karli was sooooo excited this week when daddy bought her a new bike! It was a surprise (to mommy and Karli)! She was suppose to earn this bike. But like me, Chris is a sucker to. According to him, she earned it for sleeping in her room all night. Unfortunately it hasn't happened again since that night.

Father's Day

Happy Father's day to all of the Father's out there. I know, I know, I have to take more pics of Chris with the kids. This is the best I could find, it's from last summer, as you can see Jager is still in the pic :(

Dance Recital

Karli and Peyton had their dance recital this afternoon at the John Armstrong Performing Arts Center. They did very well! There was no crying, a little stage fright, but they both performed for the whole song! Way to go girls!

Mom is a sucker!

How can I resist this face? Well, Karli is back in her own room and going to sleep in her own bed....but around 2:00am she sneaks into our bed. I just don't have the fight in me at that time of night. My sleep is too precious. I'm selfishly taking the easy way out. At least I admit it, that counts for something right? We have removed all "scary" stuffed animals and her tent out of her room to help eliminate some fears. Pretty soon she will have nothing left but a bed in there.

Cameron 's new thing is...... if you say "What do you have?" he opens his mouth and shows you. He also uses "dip dip" for fries and chicken, etc. (he has to do everything just like sissy)
