Crazy week...Ready for vacation

After this crazy, but all in all a blessed week, we are looking forward to getting out of town. We will be going to Ludington and Lewiston. Weather is supposed to be great. We'll keep our fingers crossed. Thanks to my mom for dog sitting Cabo...Good Luck with that ;)

Chris took some better pictures with a real camera instead of his phone. Here is a better slide show. He is still very sore and not sleeping much, but maybe a relaxing (I hope it's relaxing) vacation will help him feel better! One picture also gives you perspective how far the back end of the truck is pushed up. It's almost taller than Greg. We're still waiting to get the police report and find out what the insurance is going to do. Oh, Joy.

UPDATE: Police report said 79 yr old man fell asleep at the wheel. $53,000 to repair the truck....in other words it's totaled. AND NO TICKET WAS ISSUED.

Someone has a guardian angel!

For those of you that haven't heard via FaceBook. Chris is OK! He was stopped at a red light on Telegraph and Lone Pine yesterday about 2pm and he got rear ended by someone going at least 50 mph. The police closed the road for a while and there were 5 cars involved. The car that hit Chris' truck was a minivan and it went under the back end of Chris' truck. Chris also hit the car in front of him. Thank God he walked away with only a few bruises and being sore all over! He went to the hospital and they took some x-rays of his neck and back, but came back clear! This driver seat even broke from the impact and the back window blew out. Good thing the kids weren't in the car! My mind can't help but think of all the what if's. As you can see from the pictures the truck is totaled. But the only thing that matters is HE IS OK! THANK GOD!

Hair cut #2

This is Karli's second haircut. This was the first professional one though. I figured I was lucky the first time I did it, I didn't want to press my luck. She had to wait a long time while mommy was getting her hair done, but she did great. Even the hairdresser couldn't believe how patient she was. She doesn't get that from me :)

Painting

Today while I was at my cousin's wedding shower, Chris decided it would be a good time to stain the swing set. Before I left, I dressed the kids in clothes that I did not care if they got ruined. Of course the both were covered in paint! Lets just say when I got home Chris was frustrated and the kids were a mess. I think Cameron did a great job painting the grass and Karli had paint in her hair, that may never come out. Red highlights look good I guess. The swing set is cemented in the ground and hopefully will stay put!
