Germ infestation!

Well we have had an interesting ending to an already crazy week. At Karli's soccer game on Friday night I noticed Cameron had an eye booger. Once I cleared it away within about 5 minutes there was another one. Right then I knew what was happening; PINK EYE. Then on the way home he was crying saying "eyyyye, eyyyye." The next morning he woke up with crusty eyes, and off to the dr. we went. He ended up having an ear infection as well, but never complained about that. The dr. said the two often are found together. We got his prescriptions filled and we've been so cautious about washing hands and I've been chasing the kids with hand sanitizer. But our efforts failed. Sunday morning Karli woke up with Pink eye and I started her on Cameron's eye drops, what a fun battle that was. Karli is not longer fighting the drops and takes them like a pro. Cameron still screams his head off, poor baby. Good luck to the grandmas on Tues and Wed. I'm not going to work today, instead I'm taking Karli in to the Dr. because she's complaining about her ear hurting on/off. To top it off I have a horrible sore throat. I've been wearing my glasses since Saturday hoping not to get pink eye, hopefully we are all well for turkey day.

We're hanging in there!

My kids and I are hanging in there. 4 more days. We've been so busy running around we barely have time to miss Chris. The last I heard still no deer and that was last night. Chris did have a shot and missed. He's blaming it on his scope being off ;) Maybe I'll e-mail him this picture. I know I'm so mean! I would be happy for him if he got a deer, but since the kids and I don't eat it, it probably would be best if he didn't.

Weekly update

Not much new going on here. Just getting ready for Chris' departure to hunt for Bambi's Dad this weekend for 10 days! Karli starts a new soccer class this Friday evening and a nice facility just opened and is only 2 minutes from my house. How wonderful is that!
Last Saturday was busy for me. We started out with Soccer, then we celebrated Evan Felosak's 4th birthday. Cara did a wonderful job planning the pirate party! Despite a major meltdown, the kids and I had a great time. Then we had our 1st game night of the season with the neighbors. A late 3:00 in the morning night, not feeling so good Sunday, but recovered well. Just a few recent photos to leave you with. TTFN

President-elect Obama

I find it interesting that people are fixed on saying the president elect is an African American. Correction: he is half African American and half Caucasian. I am just pointing out that if someone says we will have an African American president they would be just as correct to say we will have a Caucasian president. I pray that Obama can make a change for the better. "We may call ourselves Democrats and Republicans, remember we are Americans first." www.barackobama.com

Halloween

It took Cameron a few houses to actually understand that he gets candy from people when he says trick or treat. All Cameron wanted to do was pull the wagon! He even threw his pumpkin bucket on the ground in a tantrum because that is all he cared about. Once he got the hang of it he was running house to house with Karli and Sam. But there he was most of the night pulling the wagon with daddy's cooler full of beer...Nice! What wonderful weather it was too! I loved it, I actuallt went trick or treating in a short sleeved shirt!

More to come!
